July 25 Seminar-Workshop

Home Management Program
9:00am- 4:00pm


This Seminar aims to furnish parents, caregivers and professionals with different approaches on how to teach persons with autism (PWA) adaptability to daily family activities, routines, chores, down to functioning in the home setting. Acquired valuable skills can support the PWAs road to self-reliance. Home Management Program is created to meet the specific needs of the PWA and also aims to address behavioral concerns of PWA at home.

Ms. My Sorongon
Ms. Rosalyn Marie Sorongon earned her BS Psychology degree from Assumption College, Makati. She has a Master's Degree in Education major in Special Education from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She conducts general orientation and management of developmental disabilities for parents, caregivers and professionals. she also conducts training on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and its management in the home setting. A former School Director of the Center of Autism and Related Disorders (CARD).





Ms. Apple Malapad
Together with Teacher My, Ms. Apple Malapad, the mother of Mae-mae, a 14-year old girl with autism, will share her personal experiences and practical tips to parents and professionals on the importance of home program. Ms Apple is the devoted wife of Evert Malapad, President of ASP-Metro South Chapter. She is a
Certified Public Accountant and currently Assistant Vice-President for Finance of a power generation company. But even with her busy schedule, she finds time to look after the program of her daughter together with her husband.

Price of the seminar

Pre-registered participants may pay to Autism Society Philippines, Banco de Oro, Savings Account # 3980002955. Please fax the deposit slip with the name/s of the participant/s to ASP office and bring it on the day of the seminar. On-site registrants will be accepted depending on the availability of slots. The ASP Seminar Series serves as a platform to educate Filipino parents and professionals on the various interventions, modalities and theories surrounding Autism Spectrum Disorder. Their application and implememtation are left at your discretion.
