In celebration of the 14th National Autism Consciousness Week from January 17 to 24, 2010, the ASP Davao Chapter, in partnership with SM City Davao, invites everyone to participate in the first ANGELS WALK FOR AUTISM in Davao City which will be held inside the mall of SM City Davao on January 23, 2010, Saturday, at 2:00 PM. This is open to the public with no registration fees. All we require: walkers with angelic hearts for people with autism. Everyone is welcome – bring your family, your friends, your neighbors, your barangay!
Angels Walk for Autism now serves as the highlight during the annual national Autism Consciousness Week celebrated by all ASP Chapters nationwide. The National Autism Consciousness Week aims to promote awareness on autism and the provision of appropriate social services to persons with autism.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Giant Leaps….Transcending Boundaries.” Our Angels Walk will start and end at the Ground Floor, at the area between Goldilocks and Turquoise. There will be a Drum and Bugle Band that will accompany the participants. Schools and SPED centers, organizations, offices and other groups are encouraged to bring their banners/streamers and to wear green t-shirts/green baller bands and bring green balloons or flaglets.
