OPENING PROGRAM: 16 January 2011 at 2nd floor, SM City Davao Event Center
10:00 am Colors of “A” Spectrum 2 Photo Exhibit – Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
This exhibit will showcase the photos taken by children and teenagers with autism and volunteer photographers who participated in the Colors of “A” Spectrum Workshop conducted at Malagos Garden Resorts on November 14, 2010. This Photo Workshop/Exhibit is sponsored by SM City Davao, SM Committee on Disability Affairs, Malagos Garden Resorts, Canon Philippines, Alsons Properties, Centrex, Anflocor, Sunsmile Landscaping and Independent Living Learning Centre Davao. Experience this “Photography with A Difference” from 16-20 January at the SM Davao Event Center.
10:30 am Angels Walk for Autism
Angels Walk is one of the highlights during the annual National Autism Consciousness Week celebrated by all ASP Chapters nationwide every third week of January. It aims to promote awareness on autism and symbolizes the participant’s affirmation of love and concern for persons with autism.
Angels Walk is a parade that will start and end at the SM Davao Event Center and there will be a Drum and Bugle Band (courtesy of SM City Davao) that will accompany the participants. Schools and SPED centers, organizations, offices and other groups are encouraged to bring their banners/streamers and to wear green t-shirts/green baller bands and bring green balloons or flaglets.
All we require: walkers with angelic hearts for people with autism. We welcome everyone – bring your family, your friends, your neighbors, your barangay!
4:00 pm Talent Show
This show will feature the unique talents of children and teenagers with autism from different walks of life. Watch the show and be inspired by the special abilities of persons with autism from Davao City.
