The Autism Society Philippines (ASP) is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of persons on the autism spectrum disorder. We envision a society where Filipinos on the spectrum become the best of their potentials -- self-reliant, independent, productive, socially-accepted citizens of an Autism-OK Philippines.

Quiz “A”

We are so familiar with the mind boggling Quiz Bee where contestants show their intellectual prowess in different subjects under the sun. How about Quiz A? Does not ring a bell just like a condition known as autism! Quiz A is Autism Society Philippines’ (ASP) version of Quiz Bee to promote and to hone the cognitive ability of children’s with autism.

In celebration of the 15th Autism Consciousness Week (ACW), ASP brings back Quiz A. Just like the usual Quiz Bee, contestants will be asked some questions that need to be answered. The only difference is that, the contestants here are all children with autism coming from both private and public elementary in SPED and regular schools.

Just like last year contest, there will be two (2) categories: (1) self-contained and (2) mainstream/inclusive. With the promotion of Inclusive Education, the Committee on Quiz A added a new category, the regular high school category. The new category will be open only to the high school students of Batasan High School as a pilot project. The contestants of the third category will be asked to answer questions on the rights of the child, autism and disability in general. Once proven effective, the project will be replicated in other disability celebrations and later can be adopted as a strategy to mainstream disability in the general education system.
