The Autism Society Philippines (ASP) is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of persons on the autism spectrum disorder. We envision a society where Filipinos on the spectrum become the best of their potentials -- self-reliant, independent, productive, socially-accepted citizens of an Autism-OK Philippines.

Dinner for Angels

By: Mrs. Fatima D. Kozma, Chapter Vice President

In the midst of the business rush of the Christmas holiday, the Catanduanes chapter braved a fund raising event, Dinner for Angels last December 9, 2012. The dinner was prepared not only to help raise funds for 2013, but more so to raise awareness of it’s mission and vision on the island.

The Chapter members walked the guests through it’s accomplishments and future forecast of programs for 2013. And the events coordinator, Victor Laynes handled the evening’s catering, with such masterpiece in awe. Though the children with autism and their teacher, Mrs. Lisa Molod of JMAMES (Juan M. Alberto Memorial School Elementary) could not join the dinner, due to last minute changes in schedule, the blessings, was by far immeasurable.

The chapter couldn’t be more than elated with the turn out support from our VIP guests, their families and friends: Congressman Cesar Sarmiento, Governor Joseph Cua, Vice Governor Bong Teves, Mayor Alberto Cito, Vice Mayor Roy V. Laynes and PBM Shirley Abundo. Meanwhile the Filipino-Chinese community's prevailing show of support was a heartwarming gift to top the evening, from Nicon Services, Dyna Mega Hardware, Century Family Mall, Petron, Vacona Drug and General Merchandise.
