ASP Family Support Group for June 2013

Meet our facilitator for this month, he is no other than Mr. Evert L. Malapad, a former trustee of ASP National and the present president of Autism Society Philippines, Metro South Chapter.

He finished his Masters of Arts in Education (Major in Special Education) last October 2010 from the University of Perpetual Help System in Las Piñas City and was a recipient of the Best Thesis Award.

He also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and passed the Licensure Examination for Teacher (LET- Secondary Level) given last April 3, 2011. He is also a duly certified TESDA program trainor / assessor.

Daddy Evert is currently teaching adult program for individuals with developmental disability at the NeuroDevelopment Center of the Perpetual Help Hospital, Las Piñas City. He is also providing home management program for adolescents and adults with very challenging behaviors.

Evert is currently developing a vocational-technical program for persons with autism (PWAs) that will eventually train them for possible employment in the future.

He is a proud father of Mae-Mae, her 18 years old non-verbal but very functional daughter with autism.
