What you need to know about Angels Walk for Autism 2014

So, you are all set to go to the Angels Walk for Autism 2014 and you are wondering if there is anything else you need to know.

The Autism Society Philippines and the MOA Arena is invested in keeping the event fun, orderly and safe for everyone, especially for families who care for individuals with autism.

Please take the time to read these frequently asked questions that will help you and your family have a good time at the Sunday event. This list of questions continues to grow so please check back often.

1. GETTING THERE

1.1 WHERE IS MALL OF ASIA ARENA?
SM Arena is situated to the southernmost part of SM MOA complex. From EDSA, if you are facing the SM MOA Globe, it is on the left side of the main mall. Map.

1.2 WHERE DO I PARK?
For early birds, the best parking to use is right across the Coral Way entrance of SM MOA called MAAX. They will be open in time to serve those who will get tickets at 6am. See more driving directions here.

1.3 HOW DO I GET THERE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
There are two public transport terminals located at MOA, North Terminal which is in front of North Parking Bldg with Hypermart at Ground Level and South Terminal which is in front of South Parking Terminal with SM Department Store at Ground Level. In going to the exact location of SM Arena, you must know that the jeepney you're riding from train station is headed to the right direction - South Terminal which is adjacent to SM MOA Arena. 2. TICKETING

2.1 HOW MUCH TO GO TO THE EVENT?
The event is free, free, free.

2.2 I PRE-REGISTERED ON EVENTBRITE. HOW DO I GET MY ENTRANCE TICKET?
The Eventbrite ticket makes you eligible for the raffle. As soon as ASP receives the tickets from MOA Arena, large groups may claim their tickets at the ASP Office (Map) from 9am to 4pm.

If you failed to get your tickets at the office, we will open an express lane for Eventbrite pre-registered participants and groups at the MOA Arena Coral Way ticket booth. You need to show your print-out.
2.3 I DID NOT PRE-REGISTER. HOW DO I GET MY ENTRANCE TICKET?
You can get your free ticket at the MOA Arena Coral Way ticket booth at the on January 19, Sunday, as early as 6am.

2.4 DO I STILL NEED A TICKET FOR SMALL CHILDREN?
Yes, MOA Arena requires one ticket per person. Each person would have to put the ticket inside a turnstile to get in.

3. PROGRAMME

3.1 WHAT IS THE PROGRAMME?
06:00H Ticketing booth opens
06:30H Arena gates open (expect long lines, especially if you have not received your ticket yet)
07:30H Showcase of Performers with Autism
08:45H AutiZm (Zumba for Autism)
09:00H Opening Program
09:30H Start of Walk
11:00H Closing Program

3.2 CAN STUDENTS OF OUR SCHOOL / MY CHILD PERFORM DURING THE PROGRAMME?
The show for the Angels Walk 2014 is closed for new talent. However, we have more events coming up during Autism Society Philippines' 25th Year. We welcome submission of the performances of your child/student at the ASP Audition Room on Facebook.

4. TSHIRTS

4.1 CAN WE BUY TSHIRTS NOW?
You can buy at the ASP Office for P150 each. Sizes are Child #12, Teen, XS, S, M, L. XL, XXL.

4.2 I CANNOT GO TO YOUR OFFICE, CAN YOU DELIVER THE TSHIRT?
Only for Metro Manila. Sign up form includes payment instructions: http://bit.ly/1eyhGs3. Last delivery will go out on 15 January 2014, Wednesday.

4.3 WILL TSHIRTS BE AVAILABLE AT THE MOA ARENA?
Yes. Please look for the merchandising booth.

5. WALK

5.1 WE WANT TO PREPARE A BANNER FOR OUR GROUP. WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES?
For a convenient walk through the mall, banners and signs should have a maximum size of 4 feet x 6 feet. Banners cannot be unfurled and waved inside the MOA Arena, in consideration of the people seated behind you.

5.2 WHAT IS THE ROUTE OF THE WALK?
The programme will begin at the Arena and end at the Music Hall. We will publish the route shortly.

6. RAFFLE

6.1 HOW DO I GET A RAFFLE TICKET?
If you pre-registered, you are automatically eligible for our electronic raffles. If you want to join be included in the main raffle, please bring a print-out of your pre-registration ticket to drop in the dropbox -- to ensure that only those who are the event will be able to win.

6.2 WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?
- iPad mini (c/o Miescor)

7. THINGS TO BRING

7.1 WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE MOA ARENA?
- Family and friends
- Green shirt
- Accents: wings, halo, balloons
- Jacket. The arena is well-cooled and can be too cold for some people. The jacket can also serve as protection in case there is a weak drizzle during the walk.

7.2 WHAT ARE THE MOA RESTRICTIONS?
The following items will be collected by Security and will have to be claimed before you leave MOA Arena.
- Professional still and video cameras
- Oversized signs and placards
- Sharp objects like laser pens and pointers, weapons, umbrellas, flaglets on sticks
- Candles, fireworks and pyrotechnics
- Glass bottles, cans, hard plastic containers
- Illegal substances
- Oversized bags
- Outside food

7.3 CAN WE STILL BRING FOOD? WE CAN EAT IT OUTSIDE, AFTER THE PROGRAM?
Security will get it and you would have to claim it when you get out of the MOA Arena. The MOA Arena offers food options; and of course, there are more in the Mall of Asia.

I am a SPED teacher in a public school in quezon city. I will be bringing 25 students on january 19 for Angels walk. How can we claim the tickets?

Can the participants wear shorts during the walk?

Hi Kathleen. Typical mall wear is accepatble; although MOA Arena is cold and we have been advised to being jackets.
