AutiZumba: Family Fitness Fun

Studies show that an hour of Zumba helps burn a huge calorie count. It improves one's mood because the music is infectious and the activity releases endorphins.

The Psychology Department of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, in association with the Autism Society Philippines and the QC Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office, invites families who live with autism to a FREE FREE FREE Zumba fitness event for parents of children with autism on 11 September 2016, Sunday, at 8:00 AM at the Inner Lobby of the Quezon City City Hall.

A certified Zumba Instructor from Gold’s Gym will conduct a Zumba class, dubbed "AutiZumba: Family Fitness Fun".  The event aims to promote health through a fun and energizing experience. It also offers opportunities for parents of children with autism to socialize and meet co-parents. The class is open for parents and family members of children with autism and the individuals with autism.

To participate in this FREE FREE FREE event, participants are requested to accomplish a short questionnaire to measure their general health and coping attitudes. This will help the student researchers from PUP-Manila to gather information for their study entitled “Health-Related Quality of Life and Psychological Well-Being in Filipino Parents of Children with Autism”.
