The Autism Society Philippines (ASP) is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of persons on the autism spectrum disorder. We envision a society where Filipinos on the spectrum become the best of their potentials -- self-reliant, independent, productive, socially-accepted citizens of an Autism-OK Philippines.

ASP Family Support Group for March 2019

ASPs monthly family support group sessions bring together parents, siblings and other family members to talk about their journey in living with autism. Participants share their experiences and draw enlightenment and strength from others going through the same challenges. We welcome members and non-members to this intimate gathering. New ASP members are encouraged to join.

Our facilitator for this month is Ms. Joyla Ofrecia. She is a mother of a young man with autism. She has been a hands-on mother and for almost 15 years, has been implementing home intervention programs along with other center-based interventions for her own son and other children with autism. She has earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Angeles University Foundation in 2012. She organizes seminars on autism. She also receives invitations as resource speaker from different groups for parents and teachers' training on teaching CWAs, Home Program Management and Behavior Management. She is the current president of the Autism Society Philippines City of San Fernando Chapter and an ASP National Trustee.
