The Autism Society Philippines (ASP) is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of persons on the autism spectrum disorder. We envision a society where Filipinos on the spectrum become the best of their potentials -- self-reliant, independent, productive, socially-accepted citizens of an Autism-OK Philippines.

Meet the candidates for ASP Self Advocate Circle Officers 2023-2025

The Autism Society Philippines Self Advocate Circle will be electing its new officers, who will serve for the years 2023–2025. Election will be held between 25 - 31 March 2023.

The Election Committee (Chair Ms. Ma. Victoria Bernardo, Co-Chair Cenin D. Faderogao and members Abby Mendoza and Angel Peñaloza) reviewed eight (8) nominees based on the minimum criteria set in the ASP By Laws. Read the nomination guidelines here:https://bit.ly/40smTzs.

Some were found not qualified yet, while others declined the nomination. After the election, the newly-elected officers shall vote internally to choose who will serve on the SACI Executive Committee as President, Vice President and Secretary.

Samantha Pia Cabañero

Candidate #1: Samantha Pia Cabañero
Last ASP SACI Position Held: VP of Communications
Occupation: Undergraduate Student
Education: currently in 4th year, AB Interdisciplinary Studies, Ateneo de Manila University
Advocacy Accomplishment: Advocates to empower people with disabilities through involvement with organizations beyond ASP Self-Advocate Circle and ensuring the goal of acceptance and inclusion in society. She received in 2019 the ASP Autism Angel Achievement Award (A5).


Danica Escasiñas

Candidate #2: Charlene Danica Posa Escasiñas
Last ASP SACI Position Held: New Candidate
Occupation: Data Annotator
Education: BS in Information System
Advocacy Accomplishment: Nica advocates to empower women with and without special needs and parents/guardians of children with special needs, specially through her musical talent. She received in 2018 the ASP Autism Angel Achievement Award (A5).



Catherine Joyce Reyes

Candidate #3: Catherine Joyce "CJ" F. Reyes
Last ASP Chapter Position Held: Chapter Secretary of ASP Parañaque
Occupation: Service Crew at Pancake House MAAX
Education: Associate in Computer Technology
Advocacy Accomplishment: CJ is ASP Parañaque Secretary since 2020. She helped in planning activities for the chapter’s young members. CJ shared her talent for cooking with ASP Pweday members.
