Art can be a profound agent of self-expression. Art can also be calming and therapeutic, helping artists on the spectrum manage their emotions and reduce stress. Art can improve communication skills, social skills, and emotional regulation. Art can boost self-confidence.
These are why the ASP ARTismo program was created to promote art as an approach to productive self-expression and as a potential vocation and livelihood.
