The Autism Society Philippines (ASP) is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of persons on the autism spectrum disorder. We envision a society where Filipinos on the spectrum become the best of their potentials -- self-reliant, independent, productive, socially-accepted citizens of an Autism-OK Philippines.

ASP HIGHLIGHTS AUTISM ADVOCACY AT THE KASAMA DEI SUMMIT 2025

The Autism Society Philippines shared its advocacy at the Kasama DEI Summit 2025, held on August 13 at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria. The event convened leaders, advocates, and changemakers united under the theme “Open Chances and Opportunities for Prosperity,” fostering open dialogue on diversity, equity, and inclusion across sectors.

The Autism Society Philippines, represented by ASP National Spokesperson Mona Magno-Veluz (Fifth from left), joined a panel on “The Philippine DEI Landscape” at the "Kasama DEI Summit 2025".

A panel discussion on “The Philippine DEI Landscape” featured the ASP (represented by ASP National Spokesperson Mona Magno-Veluz), among other key participants. From the perspective of both vulnerable groups and policy advocates, the discussion underscored systemic challenges that continue to impede inclusive, rights-based frameworks for marginalized sectors. Ms. Magno-Veluz shared real-world insights from ASP's Autism Works economic empowerment program, highlighting how inclusive practices can be embedded in policy, workplaces, and public services. The conversations emphasized the importance of not only legal frameworks but also empathetic implementation, training, and cultural shifts.

The Summit went beyond panels to incorporate interactive sessions, workshops, and open-hub formats that encouraged participatory learning from all attendees, from grassroots advocates to government and business leaders. ASP stands committed to translating insights from the Summit into stronger collaborations, more accessible environments, and policies where every Filipino can truly belong.
